Move the DS-Manager to another server

You want to just move the DSM to another server. No upgrade involved.

That is possible. Follow this procedure.

1. Install the exact same version of DynamicSignature Manager on the new server of your choice.

(You can always see the version you are running by looking at the top bar of the Manager window.)

2. Start the new DS-Manager. It will now initialise.

3. Add the license.

4. Choose deployment server. Any will do. It does not have to be the same as was chosen on the old installation.

5. Close the DSM again.

On the old machine go to "Run" and enter %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\DynamicSignature\DS6

Copy all the folders "Templates" & "DSClient" etc. to the same location on the new machine, overwriting all. Preferably removing content from the new machine before hand.

When you start the DSM on the new machine, you should  see all the templates, and the publish status should have the expected status, indicating it is matched to the content in NetLogon
