The Client Configuration - Signature Settings
Web_address
This address maps to the ###URL### Mark-up. It is a default setting to make sure that all users will have a web address even if you forget to add information in Active Directory. This url will be overridden by the url on the Contact in DSAddresses, and that will be overridden by information on specific users.
Smart Labels
These Labels can be used in the templates. They map to ###DIRECTLBL###, ###MOBILLBL###, ###FAXLBL###, ###HQLBL###, ###IPLABEL#, ###POSTBOXLBL###. They are smart-labels because the DS Client will detect if a specific information is missing on a user, and then removed the corresponding label, so you don't end you with a text line like this:
Switchboard: +45 36360050
Direct Phone:
Mobil: +45 23269901
Notice the empty place after Direct Phone.
It will however produce an empty line as it removes the "Direct Phone:". That can sometime be a problem. If you need to remove html parts we advice that you use the Conditional Elements instead
LinkActive & LinkColor
When you use the ###URL### mark-up it will insert the web address. With LinkActive you can control if just insert it in clear text. Then the text will not be an active link that the user can click. Or you can set it active, and then it will insert <a href =yourwebaddress> so it becomes active.
You can control the colour of the link the LinkColor setting. Just be aware that if you choose to use web colours like #4455FF then it MUST be web safe. Outlook will completely ignore colours that are not web safe, and just use the colour blue.
Smart-fax
Often you have a few users that have a personal facsimile in the office. Then all you need to do is add this number to the user in AD. The Software will check to see if any user has a personal fax. In case the user has NOT got a personal fax the Software will assign the HQ fax number for the respective location.
Smart-Company
The company name is placed in the ini file. If you need to override this company name on some users, you simply add that company name to the Company name field in AD. This can be useful if a few of your users belong to a subsidiary company with a different name then the main company.
