Roaming Signatures - Signatures no longer selectable

Hi.

Suddenly alot of our users no longer has any signatures when they go to the signatures settings dialog. Some users now only have a signature called "Outlook Websignature".

But when we write new mails, and use the "Signatures" button in the toolbar, all our signatures are there.

We have noticed that Outlook just had an update.

Please assist.

Date: 24th November 2022: We have realesed a new version of DynamicSignature that supports this new feature. (v. 6.8.0)

Yes Microsoft has just started releasing the Roaming Signatures feature in earnest. The idea is that all your signatures will be pushed to a new signature cloud server that Microsoft has built, and that all other device you use will receive these signatures.

To make this work Microsoft has chosen to make a new file naming scheme to keep keep track of which signatures belongs to which accounts, in case you have Outlook set up with multiple accounts. Like your personal account and a shared sales account. Before this update all signatures were just store in the same folder and could be used for all configured accounts.

This is the new file naming scheme with account address in it.

When Outlook starts for the first time after the feature install, it should automatically migrate all your signatures to the new file structure, but that is not always the case we see. And that leaves alot of users in a situation like this.

You can check if you have the new feature by going to File->Options. At the top there is a checkbox: Store my Outlook settings in the cloud.

And it is reflected in the registry:

To remedy this situation simply upgrade your DynamicSignature Manager to at least 6.8.0.
